All Gold Everything
I can barely contain my excitement! Not only is it Friday, but it’s the start of a super exciting weekend. I have a brand new Friday Fave to share with you, and...TOMORROW IS THE GIRLBOSS RALLY!!!! Woohoo! The Girlboss Rally, hosted by Sophia Amoruso herself, is an event that gives all types of girlbosses the opportunity to come together and spend a day networking, learning, and workshopping to promote and grow their businesses. I will be posting on Instagram throughout the day to let all of you in on the excitement. You won’t want to miss it. Anyway, back to the real reason we’re here, Friday Faves!!!
Today, I am talking all about my rings! Lately, I’ve gotten quite a bit of compliments on my bling, so I thought, why not share the deets? I pretty much wear the same jewelry every day. Some days I may add a few necklaces or swap out my earrings, but I for sure wear the same necklace and rings every single day. What can I say? I’m a creature of habit.
Firstly, you should know that I am obsessed with gold. When I was little, I thought gold was so ugly. It reminded me of old people, and I never understood how anyone could possibly like it IRL. Sometime early on in high school, my opinion changed, but I didn’t want to just trash all of my silver jewelry, so I started mixing them. Even though the majority of my jewelry is gold tone now, I do still have a few pieces mixed in that are silver. Hmmm...I guess I’m an old lady now?
1. Cartier, 2. & Other Stories, 3. Pandora, 4. Jennifer Zeuner, 5. & Other Stories, 6. & Other Stories
My favorite, most cherished ring is my Cartier Trinity ring. When I was 10, my parents and I went on vacation in St. John. While we were there, we took the ferry over to St. Thomas to have a day of good eats and shopping. On a whim, my dad bought my mom this beautiful, tricolored gold ring. Unfortunately, because it was so hot and humid on the island, my mom’s fingers were swollen, and he bought the ring too big. As soon as we arrived home, she quickly realized that it didn’t fit her anymore. Obvi, she wasn’t just going to hand over a Cartier ring to a 10 year old, so she kept it in her jewelry box, and when I was old enough, she gifted it to me. I have worn it everyday since she gave it to me, and I will most likely wear it forever.
Aside from my Cartier ring, and my tiny (Pandora & Jennifer Zeuner) diamond rings on my pointer finger, my rings are costume jewelry! And, I must say, no one can ever tell. All of my costume jewelry rings are from & Other Stories. If you’ve never shopped there before, you’re gonna want to start. They have the best stuff! Head on over to the & Other Stories site to check it out!
