This past Friday, my Poppy died. He was one of the kindest, most generous souls that I have ever known. For the first time in my entire life, my entire family was together, in one room, to celebrate my Poppy's life. The time was spent shuffling through old pictures, sharing old memories and playing dominoes (one of our favorites). While the reason for the reunion is far beyond unfortunate, it was so nice for everyone to be together and getting along. It would have made my Poppy so very proud. It made us realize that life is far too short, and family is far too important to spend our time together arguing. Never take your family, friends or time for granted. I know my angel is dancing up in Heaven right now. This one if for you Poppy. I love you forever and always.
