LIFE & STYLE

Day to Night

This weekend, my best friend, Anabell, came to visit me in Manhattan. We took advantage of our limited girl time, spending our days exploring the city, and our nights bar hopping. In efforts to conserve laundry and dry cleaning funds, I decided to transform my daytime outfits into nighttime looks. Yesterday, we spent the day brunching in Chelsea and walking the Highline. I wore a great pair of easy, summery, white pants with a denim bustier and sneaks (comfy for a warm, active day). And, when nighttime rolled around, I made a few simple swaps to jazz up my look a little.

Day to night style transformations are especially perfect for traveling (so you don’t have to pack as much), but also come in handy for busy fashionistas always on the go. By tweaking your outfit just a little bit, you too can make any daytime look into the perfect nighttime ensemble.

Switching up accessories is the easiest way to make a big impact on the way your outfit looks. For my daytime look, I wore a multicolored scarf as a belt, with a cool metallic mini bag. For nighttime, I ditched the scarf, added a statement bracelet, and opted for a simple black clutch. The sleek simple lines dressed up the white pants and denim top. Obviously, I couldn’t wear my white sneakers to go out, so I grabbed a pair of strappy heels instead.

Another super easy way to dress up a look is by adding a slight smokey eye, and a dark lip. Tarte’s Lippie Lingerie in color “revealed” is my go to.

While the looks are still similar, they have completely different vibes without having to make too many changes.
