FRIDAY FAVES

Backpack, Backpack!

Milan Fashion Week is officially in full swing, so you know what that means! I’m headed to Milano baby! Ahhh the land of heavenly gelato, fresh pasta, and impeccably dressed older men. Yummm, sign me up. It sounds like a dream right? Well, in many ways it is, but I won’t be front row at any shows (other than Marni of course), and sipping on cocktails while I schmooze with fashionistas and socialites. I will be working my little (not so little?) ass off in the showroom, selling selling selling my life away! See, now the sparkle and shine is fading away huh? But first, I have to fly there! I know I’ve already given you my award-worthy packing tips, so i’ll spare you the deets and avoid repetition. This time, I’m here to tell you that I have found the BEST carry-on travel bag to ever exist. I fell in love, and you will too! In this week’s edition of Friday Faves, I present to you...drum roll please… the AllSaints Kita Backpack.

AllSaints Kita Backpack

So, I bought this bag just before I left for Milan in June. I originally had a super cute, basic black tote, but as soon as I saw the Kita Backpack at AllSaints, I immediately returned my tote. The Kita Backpack isn’t any old backpack; it’s a backpack/tote two-in-one!! That’s right. You can either carry it with the straps on your back, or tuck in them in and carry as a tote via the top handle. As soon as I found that out, I was all in. When I travel for work, I have to carry my work laptop and iPad. Of course my work laptop isn’t a slim, cute, lightweight Mac. It’s a huge, heavy Dell computer. Because of the size, I am super limited on what bags I can travel with. Usually, I would go for a basic tote, but considering the weight and what it could do to my already super weak shoulders, a backpack makes much more sense. The versatility makes it possible for me to use it when I travel, and also as a carry-all tote during the work week. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that is freaking adorable!

Look! I even used it when I went to Costa Rica!

I have already gotten SO many compliments on it. One of my coworkers even said that it looked like a $3,000 bag! Don’t worry! It’s not! My AllSaints Kita Backpack has become my everyday bag, and if you had one, I promise it would be yours too. This was hands down one of the best purchases I have ever made. Next time you’ll be hearing from me, I’ll be in Milano!!
