Manhattan, be Mine
Happy Valentine’s Day babes!
Valentine’s Day is my all time least favorite day of the year. Sorry to get all depressing, but I’m just being completely honest. Aside from New Years Eve, Valentine’s Day creates the highest expectations and the biggest let downs. I mean come on...how many of you have actually received Venus et Fleur roses, a room full of balloons, and heart shaped pancakes in a perfectly plush, all white bed? We can all dream, but most likely, we’ll be disappointed each year. That’s why (aside from the fact that I’m a single Pringle) this year I’m celebrating the city I love, Manhattan.
It has been a whirlwind romance with these streets. In just 9 months, we have fallen head over heels for each other, and I don’t see the possibility of separation coming anytime soon. A match made in heaven, we are destined for the stars.
To celebrate my love, I waltzed right into an artesanal doughnut shop and spent an astronomical, ridiculous amount of money on one dozen heart shaped aromatic loops of dough. Can it get more city than that? Oh wait. It can. I posted a picture of them, even though I didn’t take a single bite myself (Damn Whole 30). I’ve reached the ultimate level of city. For the record, the talk around town is that they tasted pretty dreamy.
In case you’re interested in spending far too much money on (delicious) doughnuts, head on over to Dough. You won’t regret it, but you’re bank account might...
Happy Valentine’s Day to you from me and my city.
xoxo,
Zoey Leigh
